*10% of yearly profits will be donated by Pastels for Pets™ to selected animal rights protection and adoption groups or organizations. Gel color A
range of five basic spectral colors designed for white or lighter shades
of pet hair or fur facilitate decorating your pet all over or in specific
areas such as the animal’s tail, outer ears, paws, legs, random
spots or on other body parts. A special, size-adjustable, shield template
to mask and isolate desired gel areas can be obtained with our special
promotional kit or ordered separately. Be careful to protect your pet’s
eyes, nose, mouth and other sensitive areas to avoid irritation and
prevent unnecessary agitation. Keep the animal calm during applying
the gel
and blow dry applied color thoroughly before letting the pet come
into contact with clothing, furniture or other materials. Stencil Paste Color Each stencil consists of an open shape area surrounded by a moisture-resistant vinyl material that prevents the surrounding fur from being colored. For convenience, the stencils have an adhesive backing that is strong enough to hold the stencil in place while applying the colors, but easily detachable when finished without pulling the animal’s hair. Important: Make sure color is thoroughly dried BEFORE removing stencils. The easiest way of applying the stencil color is to apply it with fingers in a very thin layer or by using the special applicator provided, apply the color in slow, even, repeated strokes to the pet’s hair exposed by the stencil’s shape. This is to ensure crisp edges. Drying is much faster with a standard electric hair dryer. Color is easily removed from hands with soap and warm water. The thick color paste will dry to a hard crusty consistency in a solid, brilliant hue in the shape of the stencil. It can also be used without stencils such as in making colored ‘spikes’ or other decorative hair treatments. NOTE: The gel color will faint out but you can touch it up if desired. Also, if you’re pet rubs against hard surfaces such as walls, floor or metal repeatedly, the dried stencil color will tend to flake off and fade, although the material itself is colorless and will not stain or discolor those surfaces. HINT! Although the stencil shapes do not bother the pet, the pet will always try to get rid of something new, try to place all stencil shapes where they can not reach, after a few hours they will have forgotten it is there. As with the gel version, stencil colors wash out of your pet’s hair or fur easily with shampoo and warm water. |
